I am Jancanrun, older than I’d like to be. Un-fitter than is wiser to be. Like chocolate, cheese and wine way more than can be considered healthy. My New Year’s resolution for 2017, (which hung around doing nothing until June) is to get fitter and happier being fit.
This is my running life, which takes place usually in Italy and London. This running life started when I searched for a programme structure to start me running safely and soundly.
I found and recently graduated from the NHS Couch to 5K plan, which has been my guide and its amazing support forum Health Unlocked. These two ingredients have become my recipe for running success. To make me run I write about it, to make me write I need to run. Simple.
I have put a lot of my stories on here from a few weeks ago, as my running diary. They were originally posted in the Couch to 5K forum pages, and I have taken time to update them and polish them a little. One C25ker is IgaT, who although she says she hates running seems to do an awful lot of it, she encouraged me to keep writing about my running journey. Thanks IgaT.
The characters and place names are fictional, but the people themselves and events are real. I hold them all in great affection and respect, except maybe for the dogs that bark and cause me to leap out of my skin.
If you want to leave a comment, I will respond if I possibly can.
And please remember if Jancanrun, then you can too.
